Announcements for Nov. 6, 2021

Hope for Humanity campaign begins this Sabbath.  You will have an opportunity to support all the many needs around the world.  A portion of your giving stays here in our local area   outreach to help those in need.  Our campaign will continue until Dec. 25.  There will be cans available on the greeters stand for your coins. 

 

Harvest Tree items for next week, Nov. 13 canned green beans, canned fruit, packaged oatmeal, ramen noodles (6 pkgs.)  Thank you for participating in our twelve weeks of blessings.

 

Elder’s Meeting Monday evening, Nov.8, at 6:30 p.m.  Your attendance would be appreciated.

 

Piano We have one upright spinet piano you can have for a donation to God’s House.  Contact the church office if you are interested.

 

Remember in Prayer the Zambrano family.   Andy peacefully passed away Monday evening after an extended illness.  There will be a funeral service at the Gentry Church on Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

 

OAA Drive Through Nativity - From Christmas to the Cross- Enjoy the sights and sounds from your car, as you pass by live fully costumed portrayals of the streets of Bethlehem through the resurrection.  11 scenes in all with live animals Friday, Dec. 17 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Sat. Dec. 18 from 3:00-6:00 p.m.

 

Two 2022 Great Controversy Tours to Europe! The first will be March 18-31, the second June 17-30, 2022. Both tours are similar, and will have as guide, Dr. Gerard Damsteegt, specialist in church history and prophetic interpretation. See Daniel and Revelation come alive! Visit Rome and the Reformation sites in the Waldensian Valleys, Switzerland, Germany, and France. This will give you a new vision for how to prepare for Jesus’ coming. A most exciting experience! Old Testament Bible Study   You are invited to join Jesus in the Old Testament, an audio Bible study led by Dr. Jon Paulien, former Dean of the School of Religion at Loma Linda University.  Is it really true that the Old Testament is filled from beginning to end with symbols and figures that point to Jesus?  Come and find out. Bring your Bibles!  Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. at the church. 

 

Health and Wellness Weekend hosted by the Rogers SDA Church, Nov. 12-14. Begins on Friday evening at 6:30.  Presenters throughout the weekend will be Dr. Eric Barton, Pastor Rodney Weyer and Adam and Rosa Stacey,      Nancy Riedesel and Gerri Smoldt.

 

Librarian Position Open at Ozark Adventist School: Do you love to read, work with a diverse group of children and share your love of Jesus? Come join the OAS Team. We are searching for a P/T Library Attendant, approximately 28 hrs. a week. Position requires computer skills, learning how the Dewey decimal system works and teaching young students how to read.  Resumes will be accepted through Nov. 14th. Food Box Names  If you know of a needy individual or family that could use a Christmas food box please submit the names with contact information to the  church office or the Total Life Community Center by Nov. 30.

 

OAS Fall Festival Thursday, Nov. 11, at 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the Youth Center.  The Theme is “I’m in the Lord’s Army”.  Come dressed in your camouflage and military attire.  We will have Fun, Food and Fellowship for all ages.  Hope to see you there!

 

Social Event – Saturday Night, Nov. 13. - 5:30 p.m.  Come for Vespers and stay for chili and cornbread. Chili will be provided and we are asking you to bring corn bread. Invite a friend and stay for games.

 

Memorial Service for Alice Wellnitz will be in the Community room Sabbath afternoon, Nov. 20, at 3:00 p.m.
