Prayer Meeting will meet Wed. evening at 7:00 p.m. 

 

Harvest Tree If you would like to help with the food boxes and you were not able to bring food, donations will be accepted.  Mark your offering Harvest Tree Food Donation.

 

SOSA (Something on Sabbath Afternoon) Plan for a special afternoon event on Dec. 4 at 3:00 p.m. in the Community room.  We will be making greeting cards to include in the Christmas food boxes.  Bring your creative ideas, encouraging words, markers, stamps, punches, or any supplies you have to help decorate the cards.  Come even If you don’t have supplies, some will be provided. Fun for ALL.

 

Save the Date For – ALL ABOUT THE FAMILY, Dec. 11, 3:00-4:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for the entire family to do Something On Sabbath Afternoon.  Special activities planned for the children and a great time of fellowship and sharing for the adults.  More information is coming soon! 

 

Marcelyn Rose Maxwell (Oblander), 91, of Nemo, Texas passed away on November 20, 2021.  She was born in Enid, Oklahoma on September 16, 1930 to Paul and Frieda (Gutermuth) Oblander.  Marcy was a resident of Nemo Texas since 2019 and previously a resident of Sebring, Florida since 2003.  Prior to that she resided in Gentry, Arkansas for many years.  She was member of the Avon Park Seventh-day Adventist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of  71 years, Morris Maxwell.  A visitation will be held at 12:00pm Friday, November 26, 2021 with the service to begin at 1:00pm at Rosser Funeral Home, Cleburne, Texas.  Interment will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, Florida with a graveside service at 12:00pm Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

OAA Drive Through Nativity - From Christmas to the Cross- Enjoy the sights and sounds from your car, as you pass by live fully costumed portrayals of the streets of Bethlehem through the resurrection.  11 scenes in all with live animals Friday, Dec. 17 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Sat. Dec. 18 from 3:00-6:00 p.m.

 

Cookies Needed for Drive Through Nativity  If you would like to help make cookies, we will be collecting them Mon., Dec. 13 through Friday Dec. 17 in the Ad building from 8:00-5:00 each day and 8:00-12 on Friday, and also at the Gentry church office during morning office hours.  If possible, please bring them in individual baggies so that they are easy to handle and pass out. Food Box Names If you know of a needy individual or family that could use a Christmas food box please submit the names with contact information to the church office or the Total Life Community Center by Nov. 30.

Social Event Dec. 11 immediately following the Gentry Christmas Parade.  You are invited to enjoy some refreshments and a Christmas movie in the youth center. Check out the parade and come join the Christmas fun!
