Prayer Meeting on Wed. evening at 7:00 p.m.

 

Church Business Meeting planned for Jan. 30, at 6:00 p.m. The agenda will be to discuss and vote on the purchase of property for OAS. 

 

Year End Contribution Envelopes are ready to be picked up today at the west door. After today, Jan. 23, they will be mailed.

 

Mike Dale Scholarship Fund The Mike Dale family has set up a scholarship fund to help students attend Ozark Academy. Our church family is contributing $5,000 to that fund.  You can make your donation to the church and mark it Mike Dale Scholarship Fund. 

 

Choir Folders If you performed in the Christmas program at the Gentry church on Dec. 26, please check and see if you returned your black folder.

 

Learning to Know Your Bible Sabbath School Class will meet each Sabbath for aspiring young adults.  Bring all your questions  about anything and let’s look together for Biblical answers.  The class will meet in the Young Adult Sabbath School room.

Ada Ruth Elder (89) passed away last Sabbath morning, Jan.16.  Keep the Elder family in your prayers. Ada received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Adventist University and taught at Ozark Academy from 1953-1955.

 

 

The Thirteenth Sabbath Offering 1st quarter

Euro-Asia Division - Russia

Part of this quarter Thirteenth Sabbath offering will help Zaoksky Christian School construct its own school building on the campus of Zaoksky Adventist University.  Currently the school borrows classrooms from the university,

 

Lake Baikal, in Siberia, is the largest lake, by volume, in the world, with 5,670 cubic miles (23,615 cubic km) of water:  nearly a quarter of the world’s fresh surface water.  At its deepest, it reaches 5,387 feet (1,642m), making it the world’s deepest lake as well.

 

Russia spans eleven time zones.  Russia was the first to launch the first orbiting satellite in 1957 and made the first human trip into space in 1961.
