Joe Pearles Concert Plan to come tonight, July 10, at 7:30 p.m. Invite your friends and neighbors for this Sabbath evening vespers concert at the Gentry church.
Game Night at the Youth Center following the Joe Pearles concert till 10:30 p.m. Bring some light snacks and enjoy games and friendship. All Church Fellowship Meal following the church service today. If you are visiting with us today please come and join our church family at the Youth Center. Guest Fellowship Meal for July 17 will be hosted by the Greeters. Memorial Service for LeRoy Dickhaut will be this afternoon at the Gentry church July 10 at 3:00 p.m. Keep Jan and her family in your prayers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to Your Story Hour, P.O. Box 15, Berrien Springs, MI 49103, in memory of LeRoy. No Vegan cooking class. We will start back up Aug. 17. Watch for further announcements. Baby Shower ‘Love Gifts’ Robert and Shawn Swanson’s daughter, Metisse “Kortni”, will welcome the arrival of a baby girl. There will be a table in the main hallway for gifts, or a money tree on Sabbath, July 17. Social Committee has reserved the McKee Pool on Thur., July 15, from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Come and enjoy a fun time together in the pool. Bring munchies to share. Thank You to all of you who sent cards for Milton Jensen’s 100th birthday. He enjoyed reading each one and appreciated your thoughtfulness. Sand Volleyball All young adults, and young at heart, are welcome every Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. for sand volleyball at Springtown SDA church volleyball courts. Pettey Bible Study Group will meet Sabbath, July 24, at 3:00 pm. at Gene and Maxine Abernathy’s home, 12678 Oak Knoll Circle, Gentry. Bring Prophets & Kings, and plan on a special dinner afterwards. Tom and Linda Alsip Part-time Custodian/Maintenance job opening for Ozark Adventist Elementary School. Resume’s will be accepted starting July 19 at the OAS office. Disaster Training Lavita Whitson, Conference Disaster Coordinator, will be at the TLC July 16-19 to do Disaster Training, Donations Operations, and Warehouse Manager classes. Fri. July 16, and Mon., July 19 will be from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Sat., July 17, will be 3:00-7:30 p.m. and Sun., July 18, will be 9:00a.m.-4:00 p.m. For Sat. night and Sun. we are asking you to bring a sack lunch. Fee is $7.50 which will include a CD with all of the materials covered. If you would like a hard copy of the manuals the fee will be $15. It is very important that you know what documents you would need to take in case of an emergency, or if there was a chemical spill and you couldn’t leave your home, plus many more helpful tips. VBS is just around the corner. We will be having a meeting for all workers TODAY following potluck. Please join us, we only have one week and it all begins. We are needing some more volunteers to help. We will begin setting up and decorating this Sunday, tomorrow, at 10:00 a.m. in the Youth Center. We are looking forward to a GREAT VBS. Be sure to bring your children and invite your friends and neighbors. VBS will begin Sunday evening July 18th at 6:30 p.m. each evening through Thursday, and our program will be Friday evening, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. All are invite to this special program. Pre-Register for VBS. Registration forms available at the Greeters Stands. Return completed forms to the boxes on the greeters stands.
Baby Shower You are invited to a baby shower for James and Linsey Wilson who will soon welcome a baby girl. The shower will take place on Sunday, July 11, at 10:30 a.m., and will be held at Bobby and Jena Krien’s – 21623 Mackey Road, Gentry.
